Elliott Erwitt said: “To me, photography is an art of observation. It’s about finding something interesting an ordinary place… I’ve found it has little to do with the things you see and everything to do with the way you see them.”
From the passion of observing things and from the passion of showing how we see things was born The Locals. Two souls that found each other and discovered the have these things in common and many more. The Locals means Habib and Andreea. Both artists and both photographers. Habib’s first passion for graphic design helped him understand color and photographic composition faster. As the time passed by the interest grew more and more, and the desire to discover new techniques makes him an amazing photographer today.Andreea’s passion for psychology helped her see beyond images. The passion for art, but photography especially helped her see through her lens emotions that other people could not see from the very first seight. For her photography means capturing a moment that’s gone forever, that’s impossible to reproduce. A moment in time that will never be the same again. Two different styles that are combined in perfect harmony. This is what The Locals means.

It is said that beauty comes from within. We can not agree more! As long as you are willing to see beauty around you, it is impossible not to capture it in time. In our work experience, as cruise photographers, we had the opportunity to work with people from around the world, coming from all kind of social classes, races, religions and so on. And one thing is clear: as long as there is love, there is beauty. There are no ugly people. Just people that do not appreciate themselves as they should. But we are able to see in them something that they don’t see. Until we start to shoot! Then magic happens.
